Journey Began
About Me
I was born in Phortse, a historic village in the Khumbu region known for its Everest summiteers. Climbing is part of my heritage — I'm grateful to have turned that passion into a career as a freelance high-altitude cinematographer and guide, combining mountaineering expertise with a love for capturing beautiful moments.
My journey began in 2008 with ice climbing, followed by my trekking guide certification in 2012. To date I have summited 16 eight-thousanders, completed the first winter ascent of Luza Peak (5,926m) in 2019, and documented expeditions for The North Face, National Geographic Society and Red Bull Media — working alongside Conrad Anker and Jimmy Chin.
Today I serve as lead ice climbing instructor at the Khumbu Climbing Center in Phortse, and I'm part of the HIMALI athlete community, giving back to the mountain communities that shaped me.
